PHP settings subdomain

Hello everybody,

I have a problem to change the php settings for a subdomain. For example I tried to change the safe_mode setting. I created the file vhost.conf in the /conf folder under the subdomain path with the entry php_admin_flag safe_mode off. After that /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/websrvmng -a -v and apache restart. But the safe_mode is still on. It is not the first time I changed the php settings in this way but now I have the problem with every subdomain I create. The httpd.include of the domain seems to be ok: the path to the vhost.conf for the subdomain is correct.
The Plesk Version is 9.3. and I did no upgrade before.
PHP Version 5.2.4-2 and Ubuntu 5.10
I use the setting php_apache module for the subdomain

Does anybody have an idea to solve the problem?
