• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.

Question PHP throws error when connecting to MySQL: access denied

Arman5592

New Pleskian
Hi,
I am using a webhost in order to keep track of some user information (just a test at this point) using MySQL and PHP. I have created a (actually several) user in order to connect to my database, and this entire process used to worked fine until a few weeks ago, but now I encounter PHP Error 1045 : Access denied when I use the users username/password to connect to the database.
At first I was told this was because my user's password was too weak and plesk "wouldn't register it because of that" (which I did not accept) but it gives the same error when I use a password marked as "very strong".
I do not understand why I can't connect to my database, I've tried creating new databases, users, etc, but nothing seems to work and I keep getting the same 1045: Access denied error.

Thanks in advance.
