Check it in /etc/php.ini

You mean I make this edition in ther root of the site? I have many sites and I need to make this serverwide. In the /etc/ directory I do not see a php.ini file, there is a php5 directory. How do I proceed?

Do you have /etc/php5/php.ini file? Try to edit this file.
