Plesk 12 unable to connect to email using apple mail or outlook

We are unable to connect to email using outlook or apple mail via smtp or imap.

The server is running Plesk 12.0 and Postfix

I've tried different ports and settings but still no joy.

Any additional detail?

Have you checked connection possibility from your workstation to mail server with telnet, for example?

telnet Plesk_server_ip_address 25 (for SMTP)
telnet Plesk_server_ip_address 143 (for IMAP)

Maybe ports or IP address is firewalled? Have you checked it?
