Plesk 12 Webstats stuck in a redirect loop

Roger_Davie

New Pleskian
Hello.

I am trying to access my web stats - AWStats is the one it is configured for.

But when I click to go to web stats a popup opens that gets stuck in a redirect loop so I cannot access them.

The url is right, like this, but with my domain : https://mydomain.com/plesk-stat/webstat

Please could someone help.

Thank you :)

You can try to reset awstats configs for domain with

# /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/webstatmng --unset-configs --stat-prog=awstats --domain-name=<domain_name>
# /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/webstatmng --set-configs --stat-prog=awstats --domain-name=<domain_name>

I can only recommend to create a request to support team to do in-depth investigation to find the reason and to fix it. Please create a ticket to support at https://www.odin.com/support/request/ .
You may have free support, please check what kind of Plesk license you use for available support options at http://kb.odin.com/en/121580 .
If there’s no free support in your case, you can order Plesk per-incident support at http://www.odin.com/support/buy-support/ Support team will contact you as soon as purchase is processed, and they will do the best to resolve it.
If it is found that your problem was caused by product bug w/o available solution or workaround from Parallels, then your purchase will be re-funded.

It's hard to see why I should pay you again to fix something that I have already in good faith bought from you and expect to work.

My package is the 'Web Admin Edition' which is not listed on that page...

Hi Roger_Davie,

as stated by @IgorG ( "If it is found that your problem was caused by product bug w/o available solution or workaround from Parallels, then your purchase will be re-funded." ), such a procedure is pretty normal, because customers often change settings, or modify their server and blame Odin ( Parallels ) not to function correctly, even that the issue/problem might just be a misconfiguration from a user - in other words: If you setup your server with wrong settings and/or modified configuration files from Plesk, you still have to pay Odin ( Parallels ) - Support, if you want them to fix that. They still guarantee, that IF it was a ( Plesk ) - bug causing the issues and Odin ( Parallels ) didn't already provided a fix for it ( over the knowledge - base at: http://kb.odin.com ), then they pay back the support - fee you payed.

If your Plesk - licence has no additional licence agreements ( as for example for "Plesk Web Host Edition" ), then the following part from KB - article 121 580 defnies your support - features:
Support options available for all owners of a Plesk 12 license
  • Paid Support.

You can purchase support at the Plesk Support and Services page.

    24/7/365 email, phone, chat

If you buy Per Incident Support, a new ticket with Odin Technical Support will be created automatically. You will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to use the support incident after your order is completed.

  • [Free] Self Service Support.

You can find all the available online support resources at the Self Service Support Resources page.

You can use the product documentaion, Knowledgebase, find a solution or ask a question on the Odin Forum. The user community is supported by Plesk Experts, Odin support staff, and engineering resources.
If your Product - licence ( Plesk Web Admin Edition ), is not specifically listed on the support - page at "http://www.odin.com/support/buy-support/#c147227" ( <= direct - Link to the Plesk - Support - definitions ), you have the choice to buy the "Plesk Per Incident Support", which has as well a separate description at "http://www.odin.com/support/buy-support/#c147217" ( <= direct - Link to the Plesk Per Incident Support - description ).

So $75.00 then.

As I stated this is a fresh install. My I ask how often you go to a shop and buy something. Do you then expect to pay again to get it to work fully ?

Hi Roger_Davie,

I first investigate the initial cause, before I declare something buggy, or blame a software for an issue. I often enough find bugs, or misconfigurations in the operating system or it's basically installed services... so I would not answer your question with a YES, because Plesk might not be the cause of your issue.
I can't blame Pioneer for a non-funtional car radio, when the radio station I choosed plays music which I don't like - please be aware that Plesk doesn't replace a server administrator, it just helps to make some things easier. ;)

OK well thanks for your thoughts, I'm not intending to be difficult, just to understand the policy. Clearly this can go no further, so I will find another stats system. Thanks for your time.
