  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Plesk 8.4 needs restarting otherwise it crashes

Our Plesk installation (Plesk 8.4 on Linux OpenSuse 10.2) needs frequent reboots otherwise it crashes.
Memory usage is often up to 90% and the load average then is 3.06 of 4.02.
After restart the server's memory usage is 8,5% and the load average is about 0.25.
Could someone give me some hints on how to fix this problem or to find out what causes the problem?

Hi,

What processes use most cpu and memory according to top output when this happens?
You can also try to find reason by checking system logs (/var/log/messages) and Plesk error log (/usr/local/psa/admin/logs/httpsd_error_log)

How many processors and how much memory do you have on this server? How many domains does it host?

I've checked the logs but can't find an error because there isn't one, the system simply "hangs".
We host about 5 domains, with about 110 GB of datatraffic every month on generating about 15 GB every sunday.
