  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Plesk CP not working - error 404

Hi,
I updated PHP to 5.2.5 last week and have got that working well but in the process seem to have broken Plesk!
To install PHP I downloaded the install program and ran that. It didn't work so I then downloaded the zip file and installed it as directed in these forums (wish I'd read that first!).
Anyway, now when I try to access our plesk login I get the following error:
"Invalid access to memory location."
I have Googled and found this is a MySQL issue. But, how does upgrading PHP break Plesk via a MySQL fault???
I have also tried 'repairing' Plesk via it's own repair program but no luck there either.
Anyone else seen this? Anyone able to help?? Do I simply update MySQL? Am nervous about doing so since my experience of upgrading PHP!!
Any help/advice much appreciated.

To verify the steps of correct PHP upgrade procedure you can refer to:

http://kb.swsoft.com/en/1048

Note that some specific applications (as horde Webmail for example) do not work with PHP5 and should be configured to use PHP4.

As for Plesk CP issue - simply try to re-create Plesk Control Panel site in IIS by switching web engine to Apache and back to IIS:

%plesk_bin%\reconfigurator.exe --switch-plesk-web-server --new-provider=apache
%plesk_bin%\reconfigurator.exe --switch-plesk-web-server --new-provider=iis

Thanks for your reply.
Plesk CP is now working under Apache - much faster than it ever was with IIS!
Still having trouble though as now my PHP exec functions don't work :(
Any clues?

I've just found that, via using FileMon, when I upgraded the version of PHP on my server it not only screwed with my Plesk CP but also the permissions!!!
That was why I couldn't use the exec command from within PHP - even with CMD.exe set with permissions it was the IWPD_1 account that required permissions.
Hope this helps point someone else in right direction ;)
