With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Plesk Firewall problem:

I have CentOS 3.4 Server with Plesk 7.5.2 Reloaded on one of my production servers. IPTables is running (iptables 1.2.8-12.3) when I activate the Plesk Firewall the system freezes within 10 minutes and is not reachable anymore (no ping) when I restart the system (via APC) I have 10 min to shut down the Plesk Firewall. When the Plesk Firewall is shut down the systems runs stable. Sombody knows what is happening here, there is nothing in the logfiles?

Thx!

Does somebody have a clue  , is there anybody who has the Plesk firewall running smooth with CentOS or LHES?

Thx! :)

any logs available ?

maybe system isn't freezing, just locking out...

say, last lines before "freeze" from /var/log/messages?

This differs, nothing strange:

Feb 26 09:57:32 server01 last message repeated 3 times
Feb 26 09:58:14 server01 authpsa: IMAP connect from @ [xx.xx.xx.xxx]
Feb 26 09:58:15 server01 authpsa: IMAP connect from @ [xx.xx.xx.xxx]
Feb 26 09:59:48 server01 authpsa: IMAP connect from @ [xx.xx.xx.xxx]

Locked? or Crached?

Feb 26 10:08:33 server01 syslogd 1.4.1: restart.
Feb 26 10:08:33 server01 syslog: syslogd startup succeeded

as you can see there is about 10 min in between, nothing seems to happen but the system is not responding at all.
