Plesk installer fails because sources cannot be read from /etc/apt/sources.list

Sébastien_Rossé

New Pleskian
I am trying to update Plesk but whenever i try do so with the installer, the update fails because data is somehow added to /etc/apt/sources.list and sources cannot be read anymore. This happens both with the admin panel and the command lines.

Here is the command I'm running:

Code:
 plesk installer --all-versions --select-product-id plesk --select-release-latest --show-components >/dev/null && plesk installer --version

Here is the output :

Code:

The piece of data above the sources keeps coming back everytime I run the command even though I'm deleting it.

Would anybody happen to know what's going on cause I'm really stuck here?

Thanks a lot !

Something is misconfigured in your OS. The first part of file is content of /etc/passwd file.

Have you checked that /etc/passwd has the same content and then remove this part from /etc/apt/sources.list file?

I can confim that /etc/passwd contains the exact same data (from the line starting with "root" to line starting with "psaftp").

Whenever I remove this content from /etc/apt/sources.list, it comes back if I run the installer or if I try to access the "Updates and Upgrades" page via the admin panel.

Developers have tested and confirmed that it is really issue not caused by Plesk.
