Plesk login page redirects

Okay, all of a sudden, a link to the plesk login page redirects to another alias of my server.

for example, plesk is located at:
https://www.example.com:8443

clicking on a link to that page redirects to
https://mail.example2.net:8443

which does not have a secure certificate.

any idea why this is happening or how to fix it?

the admin panel redirects to the servername ....

change your server name ...

did that, and restarted apache -- no dice. do I need to reboot?
