• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Resolved Plesk login will be overwrite with a new username

New Pleskian
Hi Team,

we hit some issue. currently using Plesk Onyx. One of our customer has already subscribe to our hosting package using plesk. I believe he quite happy with the performance and order a new service using the same hosting package. However, we find out that his plesk login has been overwritten by the new hosting package. asume the first package he subscribed is domain1.com and second package is domain2.com. when he try to login to plesk using domain1.com username and password, he find out that he cannot login anymore. and only login with domain2.com login.

Since most of them are web developer who build website for their customer. there will be a time where they will need to pass the login credential to web owner. Since the login can only be used with the second domain2.com, this will give problem to them as the login also able to see package which should not be seen by domain1.com owner.

is there any solution for this? please advise.

Hi karimie,

you could use DIFFERENT subscriptions for each of your customers domains ( where you would certainly have different login - credentials as well! ). ;)
