  • Support for BIND DNS has been removed from Plesk for Windows due to security and maintenance risks.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

Plesk not reconizing DNS server

I was running plesk 8.1 with BIND DNS
I upgraded to plesk 8.1.1 and Plesk quits seeing BIND DNS and turns DNS off.
I uninstall BIND DNS and reinstall it. Plesk finds BIND DNS and allows me to turn it back on and redo DNS settings.
I log out thinking all is good, but when I try and log back in once again Plesk doesn't recognize any DNS and wants to turn DNS off.
I have tried installing Simple DNS it doesn't see that iether, I am currently trying to install MS DNS to see if I can have any luck their.

What gives SWSOFT I see from the forums I am not the only person with DNS trouble moving to 8.1.1 is there a fix on the way??????

And your darn support system won't let me put in a ticket even though I just reupped 7 APR and nor will it let me buy a support submission
:(

Update I got MSDNS installed, it still said no DNS was installed. So I risked it and said turn DNS off. Luckily this time that only turned off plesk support for DNS and not the actual DNS.
When I go to components it does show the DNS services available.
So basically it looks like plesk fails to regognize any DNS service when logging in.

Need a fix for this!!!!
