• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Plesk not seeing backup in /dumps/ folder

Hi there,

As per http://kb.odin.com/en/5969, I copied the contents of the dump folder from one server to the other.

i cannot use the migration manager because the old server is having disk issues.

When I move the contents of /var/lib/psa/dumps from the old server to the new one, I do it exactly as it is in the old one. I chown and chmod the entire directory to psaadm, 777.

When i go into the new server and try to restore the data, it has no idea the data exists - it says "no backups".

What is happening?

This was remedied by updating to the latest plesk version.

In addition, the .discovery folder was not transferred from the old server, for some odd reason, so I manually did that.

So it could have been either issue, but it worked after that. I now have version 9.5.
