• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Plesk Panel 11.5.30 errors in configuration templates

Mikelo

New Pleskian
Hi,
I recently bought a VPS so I could host my own websites (i'm a noobwith linux and vps). I've installed Centos 6.5 on it and now I want to install plesk but something has gone wrong. I managed to install Plesk Panel but from the beginning it showed the following error:

'New configuration files for the Apache web server were not created due to the errors in configuration templates: Can not restart web server: Service /etc/init.d/httpd failed to start Service /etc/init.d/httpd failed to start . The error message containing the detailed error descriptions was sent to you by e-mail. Please resolve the issues and click here to generate broken configuration files once again or here to generate all configuration files.'

I already googled what the problem might be but without any results. I read on the parallels site that I was able to look into the errors by installing the Webserver Configurations Troubleshooter extension and this showed me there were errors in the following files:

/etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/horde.conf
/etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/roundcube.conf
/etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/server.conf

I think the problem has something to do with 'httpd' so I tried to start httpd in lunix but it showed me this error:

Starting httpd: (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]8443
(98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:8443 no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs

Can somebody please give suggestions how to solve this problem?

Regards

Mike
