Hi @ all,
i'm from germany, so please excuse my english. it is not very well, i know :/
ive got a vServer with Plesk 7.5 preinstalled and upgraded to php5.2.5 a few weeks ago.
i am not very sure, that i have made everything correct (i know only a small bandwidth about linux and its configuration jungle), so i cant find the mistake myself, but i try to describe it:
i've read another thread, that plesk is running its own php, so i can upgrade apache's php version without disturbing plesk. is that right?
i think, i had overwritten the plesk libphp4.so (or something) and changed it to libphp5.so (also updated the apache config).
PHP5.2.5 (says phpinfo();) is running without any problem. i need it because of my framework, class-abstraction, memory-usage, phar, autoload, simplexml, and memory-usagereporting.
i've tested a number of routines since i upgraded to php5 and i think everything is fine. Everything is running - excluding plesk
.
When i open Plesk in my webbrowser, the loginscreen appears - everything is correct. When i enter my username and password, plesk is loading its surface (frameset: top logo, leftside menue, center main content). The center-frame reloads that often, that firefox break the sequence after a few trys and throw an error "permanent redirect error" (1:1 translated from german... the correct translation may be diffrent). i have no idea, where i can see, whats going wrong - plesk itself is encrypted...
can you tell me, what kind of information about my server or my configuration is necessary for you to understand what my problem or misconfiguration is?
