  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Plesk SSL sub domain issue

I need to host a single domain name with a secure sub domain for one of my clients. I bought a Windows 2003 VPS with 800mb ram and 10GB space and 1.5TB bandwidth for my client with one included IP and a 30 domain license for Plesk deciding this would be ideal.

I have made the only IP available to machine exclusive to my client and created the sub domain as a separate domain name in the clients account. The certificate uploaded and is working properly, however when you visit the sub domains or the domains HTTPS site the contents of the root domain’s http docs instead of the sub domains https docs. I have made sure that the IP default address is that of the secure sub domain with no success.

I am nearly tempted to try playing with the configuration files directly to resolve this but don't want to break plesk. Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Hello Kmaid,

The document root of we site always points to httpdocs.
Subdomain securing is not supported yet.
