• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue Plesk with Mailenable generates masses of emails

For the last three days I have had the problem that my server has been generating masses of e-mails on its own. These e-mails are always sent to two external addresses and contain the message "Antivirus has found viruses in the e-mail coming from “[email protected]” to the following recipients “[email protected]”. The message was deleted."

Who generates these emails and why?

Review the header details, it usually gives you an idea of what's generating it.

When I stop the SMTP service on the server I can see how the amount of emails in the ‘outbound queue’ builds up. These are exactly the two types of emails that are generated directly into the queue. The ‘message information’ looks exactly like the picture below.
