• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Port Issues

Good Day All:

Currently having some difficulty with several ports that McAfee has scanned. They are coming as Vulnerability SSL Self-Signed Certificate. Each has the same identical error.

There is about seven of them, and I am baffled how to correct the errors. They start at Port 8443.995,993,465,413,110,25.

I went and installed a Valid SSL Cert at the Default Cerificate position, on the VPS Linux Server. I cannot see how installing a valid ssl cert. at 7 ports is the only solution.

I did open a SSH Terminal and ran some commands, made some changes to two files. Not sure if this will solve the issues or not. Currently McAfee is doing a scan.

Any advice about this would be much appreciated.

When you install a real SSL certificate in Plesk for the panel itself, it only affects port 8443.

The other ports in your list are all related to email (not sure bout 413 though ?....)

This KB: http://kb.parallels.com/en/1062 has details about how to set up an SSL certificate for email which should cover the other ports you mentioned, I think.

Hello:

Thanks for the advice. I got a pass from McAfee, so my site canyonsprings.ca is PCI Complinat.

Have a Good One
