• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

I have Plesk 8.1 on RHEL 4; with nmap, I can see these ports open for listening; these must be related to Plesk, because they weren't there before I installed Plesk.

2911/tcp open unknown
2912/tcp open unknown

2911 seems to be used by monit service, according to netstat, which I guess is Watchdog monitoring service.

Can you help me?

Thanks

Sorry, I forgot to update on this (I hate when people start threads and do not add their solution at the end).

It's watchdog using those ports; one for monit process, another for wdcollect. I cannot find anything about this in watchdog's documentation, but just to confirm this, when I turn it off the ports are closed.
