  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

At the end of July I upgraded my Plesk (CentOs5.4) to latest version 9.5.2 and OS with 'yum update' and shortly after that I tried to add subdomains on two my sites to build mobile versions of sites: m.sitename.com

Directly after that I noticed problem with both sites - they become very slow and unresponsive. It took up to 10..15 seconds to show up pages even on intranet connection - sites reside beside NAT.

I checked my sites from different places and they look the same - no content 10..12 secs and then very fast in one secondd as it should.

I have ~ 10 sites at the same 8 CPU server and average load is just ~0.2..0.3% and much free memory - at least 4..5 GB. So there is no HW problem.

I have DNS and manage it with Plesk, only manually change intranet IP addresses to public ones and firewal is open on port 53. I have my server more than one year in this configuration and it worked well

And there is no problem with other sites..

I checked files with DNS records for different domains and they look similar - both for slow and fast sites..
No special messages in error, messages or access log files...
I have even quite good MySql caching (in my.cnf)

I checked with online service 'Pingdom tools' and it shows that no content delivered first 10..12 secs and then in ~1 sec all the html, jpg and scripts are sent. It looks like browser does not get anytyng first 10 secs from site and then everything starts as it should and very fast
Fast sites deliver pages in 600..900 ms and slow in
10... 15 secs.

All my sites are CMSs - Joomla or another older PHPNuke clone one.

And two slow - one Joomla and one another. I have also fast Joomla and fast PHP Nuke variant. Sites are are similar in SW and only content differs..

I have not done any SW upgrade on sites since winter, so there is no problem with sites SW...

I deleted 'm.' subdomains and looked with ' the dns report' site - it does not rapport something special for those two sites. I have some error messages, but fast sites also have them and still work fast.

I do not what has happened, I could post here two addresses of my sites - one slow and and one fast, but sure if I can do it on this forum.

regards,
Alexandr
