• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
    To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Hi,

I've succeeded in installing postgresql 8.1 and PLESK 8.1 on Ubuntu. But when I logged in into PLESK's Component Info it says that postgresql-server was not installed.

And when I try to connect to it directly via database section and have localhost entry, it cannot connect. Then I changed it to 127.0.0.1 and it returns

=====================================
FATAL: 28000: password authentication failed for user "postgres"
LOCATION: auth_failed, auth.c:337
=====================================

as far as I know... I already has the correct password for postgresql.

Is there any instruction on how to setup postgresql 8.1 on Ubuntu 6.06 ? FYI, I already load my license for multi domains.

you have the power pack or postresql addon for your plesk license?

just checking ;)

Sure... PLESK 8.0 I'm running is with that license, all postgresql's databases are up. Very frustrated migrating this :(

Regards,

Feris
