  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Problem installing Tomcat

Hello All -

I am new to Plesk (really like it) and have been put into a bit of an akward situation with it. I develop in Java and need to deploy via Tomcat on a Plesk-managed Linux environment (Redhat 7.3). My hosting provider isn't very Java-friendly, and does not install the Tomcat components by default. They basically just told me that I'm on my own and gave me root SSH access to the box to get Tomcat up and running.

OK, I researched the Plesk Reloaded 7.5 install guide and followed the instructions for installing the needed RPM's. Most installed fine, but I cannot get one to install (mod_webapp-4.1.29-23psa.rh7.3.i586.rpm). This RPM comes back indicating that it requires Apache. I attempted to install the Apache RPM listed in the documentation (apache-1.3.27-4.i386.rpm) but I get the following errors:

[root@as TC]# rpm -Uvh apache-1.3.27-4.i386.rpm
warning: apache-1.3.27-4.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID db42a60e

I would greatly appreciate any help you could provide. I've been pounding my head against the wall for most of the day, and am frankly stuck.

Thanks :)
