• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Problem with FTP Backup

SyCe

New Pleskian
Hello all,

I have a very urgent problem, I recently had to reinstall my Linux server and exported a backup from Plesk (about 8 GB large).

Now he can't find the file on the FTP server, because the name of the backup file wouldn't be in the correct format.

I have to import the backup urgently and unfortunately I can't do it via the upload function, because the connection is reset during this time. Please urgently ask for help :-(

Edit: Backupfilename is backup_info_240520190000.tar

The name given is not a valid Plesk backup archive name. Maybe this is not a Plesk archive file after all?

You could try to rename it from
backup_info_240520190000.tar
to
backup_1905240000.tar
which would be a valid archive name. Then let try Plesk to discover and restore from it. If it does not work, the content is not a Plesk archive structure.
