  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

TITLE

Problem with migration a subscription from another server: IPv6

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

CentOS 7.8 Plesk Obsidian, CentOS 8.2 Plesk Obsidian.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

I test migration of a domain(subscription) from a server to another server.

CentOS 7.8 Plesk Obsidian to CentOS 8.2 Plesk Obsidian.

After finished migrations the domain is not in IPv6 (Tools&Settings > IP addresses)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

- News server with installed plesk obsidian
- Create a new domain (EXAMPLE.COM)
- Migrate a subscription from another server with domain name MYDOMAIN.COM

After successful imported subscription I go to Tools&Settings, click on IPv6 In select box there is this domain missing.

ACTUAL RESULT

migrated domain is not in ipv6

EXPECTED RESULT

migrated domain should be in ipv6

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

TARGET SERVER: Setting was (default) IPv4 Shared / IPv6 Dedicated
SOURCE SERVER: Setting was IPv4 Dedicated / IPv6 Dedicated

I must go to "Web Hosting Access for MYDOMAIN.COM" and set here ipv6 from NONE to ipv6.

Pre-migration checks said:
  • There is not enough free exclusive IPv6 addresses on target Plesk to map all source exclusive IP addresses. This subscription will be migrated to default shared IP address
Add more free exclusive IP addresses to target panel or change IP addresses of migrated subscriptions after migration
  • There is no shared IPv6 address on target Plesk.
Fix Plesk configuration so there is at least one shared IPv6 address
The first IP address has been already assigned to mydomain.com. Have you had another IPv6 address for this domain in advance on the target server?
