(Im posting here becuase no one reads the third party forum apparently)
I get this error in cpan a lot, and some times in users log files.

Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/Scalar/Util.pm line 30.

And in CPAN I get these errors

cpan[48]> reload index
Fetching with LWP:
ftp://carroll.cac.psu.edu/pub/CPAN/authors/01mailrc.txt.gz
Going to read /root/.cpan/sources/authors/01mailrc.txt.gz
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/Scalar/Util.pm line 30.
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/Scalar/Util.pm line 30.

Any idea what its from and how to fix it?
