Proftpd with additional module

Hello,

I need to setup Proftpd with a module that isn't included in Plesk's default Psa-proftp package.

Is there some way I can rebuild Proftpd by myself compiling it with the required modules (mod_ifsession, a much needed module, in my opinion)? What should I keep in mind? Any way to prevent breaking my custom installation when I upgrade {lesk in the future?
