PSA in a DMZ

Has anyone figured out how to use PSA on a server in the DMZ? More specifically, thanks to bind, it doesn't relay its records/requests and the config file leaves the commands out. Even after adding them, I have yet to get it to work (short of using the windows DNS which works fine).
