  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Qmail 220 banner delay - up to 30 seconds!

Hi guys,

For some reason, I've always had a problem where that upon connecting to port 25 on my Plesk install, it takes roughly 30 seconds to receive the 220 banner. This happens every single time. This problem does not happen if connecting locally, only remotely. I've searched around the config files to find anything that may be relevant, but so far I've not found what I'm looking for. This is proving to be a massive headache for both me and my users.

I wondered if any of the community here might have some idea what may be causing this? I suspect openbsd-inetd or Qmail itself, but as I said, I haven't noticed anything odd. I'm using Debian etch as my base, which is fully up to date.

Thanks in advance,

Steven

I think this is where you need to add -Rt0 to the start of the main list of arguments in /etc/xinet.d/smtp_psa

Search for smtp_psa and you'll find more details.
