Resolved Qmail problem after update to Obsidian

Hi all,

We have a problem after migrating to Obsidian: no email are leaving.

# mail -s "test" [email protected] < /dev/null
Null message body; hope that's ok
/usr/sbin/sendmail: no such file or directory
"/root/dead.letter" 9/228
. . . message not sent.

The server is on CentOS Linux release 7.7.1908.

Precision: we use Qmail.

If i search sendmail:
# whereis sendmail
sendmail: /usr/sbin/sendmail.postfix /usr/lib64/sendmail.postfix

Ok, problem solved with this command:
# ln -s /usr/lib64/plesk-9.0/qmail-sendmail-wrapper /usr/sbin/sendmail

It seems that these symlinks are problematic after Obsidian upgrades.

The above is OK, but since RHEL/CentOS uses "alternatives" for such things, this below might be more correct and perhaps prevent some unforeseen troubles in the future...

This is actually from Plesk Onyx, CentOS 7 and qmail, but it should be the same on Obsidian:

[user@server /]# ll /usr/sbin/sendmail
0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 Jul 25 03:23 /usr/sbin/sendmail -> /etc/alternatives/mta
[user@server /]# ll /etc/alternatives/mta
0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 43 Jul 25 03:23 /etc/alternatives/mta -> /usr/lib64/plesk-9.0/qmail-sendmail-wrapper

BTW, if you'd like to compare the state of MTA alternatives on your server:

[user@server /]# alternatives --display mta
mta - status is manual.
 link currently points to /usr/lib64/plesk-9.0/qmail-sendmail-wrapper
/usr/lib64/plesk-9.0/qmail-sendmail-wrapper - priority 90
 slave mta-sendmail: /usr/lib64/plesk-9.0/qmail-sendmail-wrapper
Current `best' version is /usr/lib64/plesk-9.0/qmail-sendmail-wrapper.
