• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Qmail Redirects and MailNameRedirect.php

I have a new twist on an old problem. I have read a couple of posts regarding the issue of the .qmail file not being updated properly when a redirect is changed. The following posts are good reading on the subject:

http://forum.sw-soft.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26171
http://forum.sw-soft.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25519

Actually prior to finding these posts I found the FAQ on the Plesk support site at the following location:

http://faq.sw-soft.com/article_16_789_en.html

I did as instructed, downloaded and overwrote the existing MailNamesRedirect.php file.

The problem I am now experiencing is that I can't update the redirect from the control panel for the broken redirected email address. It only affects the address that I need to repair. I can disable redirecting, however I can't re-engage it. I get an empty javascript alert dialog and the redirect remains disabled.

I replaced the new MailNamesRedirect.php with the previous, aparently broken one to try and fix the bug that I have introduced, however that doesn't fix it either. It seems that email address is cursed.

I have manually written the .qmail file and adjusted the row in the psa.mail table so that it now works correctly however if I try to use the control panel to make changes to that address in the future I am guessing it will have the same result...I have no reason not to assume that.

Anyone in the same boat?
