i just allow both types of smtp authentication
i just allow both types of smtp authentication in the plesk mail configuration, both pop3 and smtp, and it seems to not necessarily speed up sending mail, but it does seem to work a bit smoother.
-Rt0 in my case does not allow my email program to send at all, as the -Rto (or -rt0) is illegal according to the error message i get. so in my case i have to just use -r .
i think the delay is that the spammer block list that you are using, checks the senders IP address to see if they are a spammer. so as long as your customers know the reason for the delay they should be ok with it, since everyone hates spam.
