Question installing Ms Sql

Hi,
Could someone be kind enough to answer the following
two question for us.

To add Ms sql to our window 2003 server with plesk:
1) Do we need **ms sql 2000 standard edition** or **Enterprize edtion** and what are the differences??

2) Could be installed through terminal service or has to be installed locally by our data center????
