Questions regarding Plesk Expand setup

Hi

We are planning for a complete new Plesk hosting envoriment. We also would like to use the Expand centralizing platform, but we've run into some problems.

Our design is like this:
- 1x RHEL4 Expand with Primary DNS
- 1x RHEL4 Plesk for web-hosting and Secondary DNS
- 3x Win2003 Plesk for web-hosting
- 1x Win2003 Plesk for MDeamon or Merak
- 1x Win2003 MySQL + MSSQL

The idea is to have DNS and Mail services centralized. But it seems that it's required to have an Mailserver on every webserver.

Would like to have som feedback, or if our design is even possible, before we ordering licenses.

unfortunately you are right, it's required to have a Mailserver on each machine.
but we are planing to remove this dependence soon (~Q3'2007).

Okey, thanks!

Is it possible to use Microsoft SMTP service instead of the bundled and external ones?

And, when installing the centralized mailserver (like in our design) is there any need for web/db on that machine to?
