  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Random domain in sent email headers

MikeLoeritz

New Pleskian
I am really struggling today.

After setting up a 2nd server for some domains with new nameservers etc I checked intodns and everything is set up fine.

I used migration tool to bring ONE domain from anther plesk server all ok

Sent some test emails from one server to the other through various domains with roundcube and when I checked email headers on the emails upon delivery I am really worried because they are showing random other domains from my other plesk server. I presumed that migrating in one account had dome something nasty so set up completely new email account for the main domain on the new server and send emails and getting same problem.

The servers are not connected in any way, all independent, not even on smae licensing account as new one is on a trial.

However this is happening its a serious security problem as one client knows other domains i have.

Not sure if this only happened after migrating one domain BUT I checked on old server which has several domains and when you send from that the same thing happens..headers show random domains. The issue is in red.

Details are masked but heres an example of header in email sent to [email protected] from [email protected]

This happens through HORDE and Roundcube. The correct to and from so show (in green) above but the random other domain (can be from same workspace or other and even on other server after migrating one domain) changes all the time, seems random and is very worrying

PLEASEEEEE HELP! Thanks!
