  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi Guys,

Can someone recommend me a partion for Plesk. I'm running on RHEL 4 and planning to install Plesk 7.5.4 on the server.

I have 146 gig of harddisk (about 139 gig after formatting i guess)

What is the best way for me to partition my server?

thanks for now.

Suggestion:
/boot -> 100-200MB
/tmp -> 1 GB
/swp -> 2x your memory, max 2GB
/ -> whats left....

how about /var? I hear /var good for security reasons?

if you want a seperate /var then make it big cos mail/mysql and since 7.5.4/centos4 also the vhosts are located on this partition.

I wouldn't make a seperate /var.
