• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Renaming website's root directory?

iantresman

Basic Pleskian
If I change a directory's root directory on the Hosting Settings page, from the default "httpdocs" to "my-domain.com", will it (a) rename the existing directory (b) create a new directory, and leave all the previous content behind?

If the latter, can I manually rename the directory, and then updating the root directory?

I've never tried it, but instinct tells me it will rename it, because otherwise you'd be left with an orphan directory.

There's one easy way to find out: try it!

If it doesn't rename then you can just copy the files accross.
