• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Resolved restore dropbox backup on other server

Remigio

Basic Pleskian
For a very low dsl speed, I have difficulty making a 5Gb upload on my new vps
But I have a full backup of the old vps on dropbox: can I restore on the new vps the backup directly from the dropbox?

It was really very simple: I formatted the server, I installed the dropbox extension again, logged in with my data, and I found my backup previously done.
Very important: in plesk, in the backup security settings you have to enter a "password specified" that will allow us to import the Dropbox backup in any distribution with plesk.
Then when you have to import, select the backup file from the dropbox, choose the one you want to import (db, files, ssl certificate ...) and flag "Restore this backup regardless of whether it has a valid signature"
Et voila
