Restore: Error: FTP network error

New Pleskian
I have a huge 2GB file (complete backup) at my Personal FTP Repository. When I try restore I have to copy it to Server Repository via Plesk 9.3...

Problem: I always get an "Error: FTP network error" after 2 seconds....it does not start to restore...my Personal FTP Repository Settings are 100 % ok as I have done the backup with theses datas, I may login to FTP via SSH etc...the file exists...

What could be wrong?

Usually this issue is caused by insufficient local disk space. Consider increasing /tmp disk allocation to accommodate for largest backup file to be downloaded

Where will be de backup file copied by default from my FTP server? How to free up space?

As you can see there is no free diskspace on / and /tmp partitions:

Therefore you should delete some unnecessary files/directories there for correct Plesk operation.
 
Thanx again Igor...another stupid question: I do not have clear, how to access /dev/md1/ -

I have not really clear the structure...in var are all the webs etc, right? In USR there is the system located I guess....

But where do I have to delete...?

Thank you Igor for your reply. I cleaned a bit, but I am not sure which files I may delete at md1 without damaging the system.... /tmp is empty now and I have 1GB more...but the file to be restored is 2GB - so I guess I need anyway another solution....


Is there a way to "tell the system" to transfer the file to another place, /var for expample - there is a lot of space....

Probelm: In /tmp I have 990M and in /dev/md1 652M...but the file to restore is 2GB. Question: Where is the file from FTP copied by default? Which path?

Maybe it would be a way to send it to /var where a lot of space is available...but how?

Or maybe there is a way to copy from FTP directly to the final destination on the server?

Problem: I can not use a FTP client - as my server is 1&1 and I have to be in the network, connection via root / SSH...

How may I copy the 2GB file from my FTP repository to the place where Plesk need it?

You can use scp command for transferring file if you have ssh access.
