  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Restrict option for Inode, Mysql, process level on plesk Linux server

Thomas Oryon

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
RHEL 9
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.67
Hello,

We have the option to restrict the RAM, Disk Usage etc in Plesk panel while creating the Service Plans. But we need to have restriction for Inode, Mysql, process level on RHEL 9 on Plesk while creating the Service plans. So, we need an option to modify/restrict this.

Please let us know the available options to achieve this.

Awaiting your reply.

Sounds like some interesting ideas. The number of inodes cannot be easily restricted, a restriction of MySQL will need further clarification whether you want to restrict the number of processes per user (which can already be done in the my.cnf file) or other values, a restriction of the process "level" is unclear (what is a "process level" for you?). I suggest searching in Your Ideas for Plesk for the features you aspire. I think that for some there might already be feature requests that you can vote on. If not, just add them there.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I have a linux server where I have installed cloudlinux and has more options to restrict the resource for the user. Please refer to the screenshot for your reference.

Here, I need to know whether all the options are available in the plesk panel also to restrict for the user.

Please let me know the available options to achieve this.
