TITLE

Roundcube 1.4.11 run on Obsidian 18.0.37 #MU 1 STILL defaults to PHP 7.3.* not PHP 7.4.* - Why?

PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE

Plesk Obsidian 18.0.37 #MU 1 / RoundCube 1.4.11 / Any OS

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

The complete problem is described in detail c/w links in this thread: Resolved - Roundcube 1.4.11 run on Obsidian 18.0.35 still defaults to PHP 7.3.* not PHP 7.4.* - Why?

In addition, there are two, 100% self-explanatory comments on the Plesk page that is linked in the above forum thread: How to change PHP version for webmail in Plesk for Linux

This was an in-house Plesk error, as it was simply 'missed' when Plesk itself, moved over to PHP 7.4.*. That's understable and no big issue, but THREE months afterwards and it STILL not being resolved? That IS a BIG issue.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Follow the actions that are detailed in the forum thread. You will end up in the situation that's shown in the image below.

ACTUAL RESULT

EXPECTED RESULT

Removal of PHP 7.3.* WITHOUT the above error mesage and removal of Roundcube

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A very simple fix which should be included in the very next Plesk upgrade please.
