Hello,

I’m evaluating Plesk 8.1 and found strange behavior I can not find expanation for.
When I upload files via FTP using webuser account u1 same file exists in 3 different places:

C:\Inetpub\vhosts\<domainname>\web_users\u1
C:\Inetpub\vhosts\Servers\8689\localuser\test\web_users\u1
C:\Inetpub\vhosts\Servers\8689\localuser\u1

So, it appears Plesk keeping 3 copy of the same file on HD.

Is there any explanation for it?

Thanks for any help.

Nik

I’ve tried on Plesk 7.5 – same result.

Anyone is experiencing this issue?

Please don't worry, original file is C:\Inetpub\vhosts\<domainname>\web_users\u1. All others are symbolic links. Please don't try to remove it.

Thanks Sergius but how come file sizes are exactly the same in all 3 locations?

Does it mean I’ll be running out of space on HD 3 times faster?

Because these are links to the same file.
