M maxrisc Guest Sep 11, 2007 #2 From what I understand you can't create a software installation from Plesk. You need to login into the server using SSH and switch to root. Then you can access /usr/local/ directly. Plesk should not be running as root so you won't be able to put anything in this directory from the control panel.
