• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

See which template was used to create a client or domain

Is it possible to see which template was used to create a client or domain? If so is it then possible to change a client/domain to a different template if a client wants to upgrade to a new plan?

Thanks very much.

Client's/domains templates can be used only for clients/domains creating and can't be applied to already existing clients/domains. Really, if you enable mysql logging in my.cnf and analyse logs you see that id of template used only during client creating and then replaced with NULL in clients table. There is no possibility to change template because it can lead to unpredictable consequences. For example, you have domain with 5 allowed mailboxes and try to apply template with 2 allowed mailboxes. What should be done with already existing extra 3 mailboxes?
Limits and other parameters for client/domain can be changed by Plesk API when Plesk is configured and included as a part of some Parallels Automate solution like PBAS or Expand or POA.

Igor - I cannot believe your reply - it shows a complete lack of understanding of both the term "upgrade account" and how customers want to operate.

The more I read about what Parallels are and are not willing to implement / redesign in their systems, the less surprised I am that cPanel and WHM is the world's most popular control panel. If I was a shareholder, I'd be calling for the CEO's head for completely ignoring the trends of the industry and the requirements of customers.

Does anyone at Parallels audit these forums as a source of customer requirements in your products, or is development controlled solely by what the technicians feel like attempting?
