i am using a cms for the management of my websites. i have plesk 8.0 installed with virtuozzo. my web directory is
/var/www/whosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs

with the cms i'm using (joomla), i am able to manage multiple sites from one site (as long as they are on the same server, but it has no ftp support). when i use this program and attempt to manage another site. i receive this error -

unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/theseconddomain.com/httpdocs

i have attempted to set all of the permissions to allow the user of the first domain, user1, to control the seconddomain... for example, i have
chown user1 var
chown user1 www
chown user1 vhosts
chown user1 theseconddomain.com
chown user1 httpdocs

however, that did not work... the httpdocs is chmod to 777... i still receive the error... does anyone know how to a user to have control over all files on the server? that might solve my problem... the company i purchased the product through has been unable to assist me

thank you
Tom Dorsey
