Hi,
We have been running a server with Hetzner for the past couple of years. This server was running our main web application optimally until late November of 2019 when it suddenly went offline. The server is not "pingable" and cannot be accessed via SSH but can be administered through Hetzner's robot interface. We reached out to Hetzner who advised us to use their rescue system to connect to the server and reset the root password then conduct repairs to the underlying linux system. (It is running Debian 8). Unfortunately, this did not work since the server is unreachable via SSH. ( Resetting the root password involves logging in via SSH once the rescue system has been activated and the server rebooted.) Best guess it that the firewall rules are blocking incoming server traffic. I have tried temporarily disabling Hetzner's firewall in the robot administrative interface with no luck.
Thought i would reach out to you experts here and see if you can help.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers!
