• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

server's crashing - error messages

Hi,

Our server seems to crash very randomly. It's not just the website that doesn't load but our mail is down and we can't access Plesk login page either. We rented this server less than a week ago. I contacted our hosting company but they basically said they can't/won't help since they don't know what we do with the server and not to worry about warnings/errors in error logs since it doesn't say "critical". I only transferred one zenphoto powered website. That's it.

And I actually am concerned about the warnings/errors since our server keep crashing and I would like to get to the bottom of what's causing it.

I checked the error log for the website and there are two error messages that go on and on.

[Wed Jan 20 06:43:56 2010] [error] [client 134.321.947.231] PHP Warning: chmod() [<a href='function.chmod'>function.chmod</a>]: Operation not permitted in /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/zen/zp-core/i.php on line 113, referer: http://www.mydomain.com/zen/john-oe/album name/SS-32+WEB+copy.jpg.php

[Wed Jan 20 06:42:55 2010] [warn] RSA server certificate is a CA certificate (BasicConstraints: CA == TRUE !?)
[Wed Jan 20 06:42:55 2010] [warn] RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `uxxxxxxxx.onlinehome-server.com' does NOT match server name!?

If in fact these errors are not what's causing the server to crash. Could anyone please point me in a direction where or what to check to figure out the reason why the server is crashing?

Thank you very much in advance!
