session.auto_start problem

I need session.auto_start to work with 1 domain only. I added this to the vhost.conf file of the domain based on other things I have read here but it does not work.

php_admin_value session.auto_start 1

How can I make this work for this domain and this domain only.

Did you just add that? You might need to put it in a Directory container:
<Directory /path/to/httpdocs>
php_your_options
</Directory>
