setup plesk 8.2 with compiled apache2, php5, and postgresql 8.2

i have a doubt, i use plesk since last year it works fine but recently i am having a doubt about if i can, compile the last version of apache2, php5 and postgresql, and still use the plesk to manage DNS, domains, and the horde webmail, mailman, etc.

i have read that its ok that i compile my own packages but i want to make sure before i mess up cause i have 30 domains in my server.
