I installed Cold Fusion MX7 enterprise on a fresh Win2k3 standard with plesk 7.6.1 and power pack from theplanet. Took a while to figure out how to do that, could only get to work with these instructions http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=36360 .

I put the first site on the box, and the default plesk page comes up fine. But if I click on any of the test scripts links, cold fusion, php etc. I get prompted for a username/password?? The permissions on the httpdocs dir where the index.cfm page is are the same as the test dir under it that contains the test script pages.. www.justinramsey.com

I ran the reconfigurator to reset virtual hosts permissions but that didn't help, although it said it found and issue with the domain and fixed....

I've used plesk for linux since v1.3.1 and never had this much trouble......

I also

If you have installed ColdFusion (or other 3rd-party hosting script) after Plesk you should
- either reset permissions via Reconfigurator (before it you should Refresh components registration on page Plesk > Server > Components Management)
- or remove Deny entries from ACL of ColdFusion installation folder recursively
- or set permissions on this folder manually in according to security config file <plesk>\admin\bin\DiskSecurity.xml

Thank you for replying Sergius.

I have run the re-configurator and repaired virtual hosts several times, as well as reset permissions for the disk, neither has made a difference. Cold fusion is listed correctly in the component management section. I don't know how the rest of your suggestions would work better than the re-configurator? I also don't think it's a permissions issue on the cold fusion installation folder, as none of the asp or php, etc test pages work either??

It is impossible. Please be sure you did all properly or try to remove Deny entries from ACL of ColdFusion installation folder recursively.

Because Plesk set proper permissions on whole disk including installation folders of php, asp, etc.

Obviously your NOT reading the entire sentence...

Your saying that the php, asp, asp.net, perl, and python test DON'T work because plesk set the proper permissions on their install folders?? So plesk does not allow a site to run php, asp or other scripting languages by default, even though the docs on plesk says they support them?!?!?!?!? if you go to www.justinramsey.com, the default page comes up, but if you click on ANY other link as well as cold fusion, it prompts for a login....

Um, yes I have run the re-configurator SEVERAL times. Again, it's not just cold fusion that isn't working, please read the entire sentence above. I have tried removing the site, re-running the reconfigurator, adding site back(still prompts) then re-running reconfigurator. Still doesn't work

Excuse me, sir, probably i did not understand you properly.

Please try to remove Deny entries from ACL of ColdFusion installation folder recursively.
