• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
    With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Input Slave DNS Manager - Add new option -clean

B4c4rd1

Regular Pleskian
Since the bind version bind> = 9.10.0 the new option "rndc delzone -clean [ZONE]" is supported. This also deletes all related files.

When is the option added?

This makes it possible to make the same zone available on another server. (If deleted before)

Manual:
If the -clean is specified, the zone's master file (and journal
file, if any) will be deleted along with the zone. Without the
-clean option, zone files must be cleaned up by hand. (If the zone
is of type "slave" or "stub", the files needing to be cleaned up
will be reported in the output of the rndc delzone command.)

Anyone who needs the option can customize the DNS slave manager:

In the file: /opt/psa/admin/plib/modules/slave-dns-manager/library/Rndc.php

Line: 63

Old:
PHP:
$this->_call($slave, "delzone \"{$domain}\" \"{$slave->getRndcClass()}\" \"{$slave->getRndcView()}\"");

New:
PHP:
$this->_call($slave, "delzone -clean \"{$domain}\" \"{$slave->getRndcClass()}\" \"{$slave->getRndcView()}\"");
